The offender had been previously detained under the PIT-NDPS Act at District Jail Reasi, Jammu, and has been recently released,” police said. Meanwhile, the statement added that “J&K Police remains committed to ensure a drug-free and crime-free society, and such actions will continue with greater intensity. The public is once again urged to come forward with any information related to drug peddling and help make the district a drug-free zone.”—(KNO)
